“Everything, Everywhere all At Once”, arrasa en los Oscars con 11 nominaciones

La película de ciencia ficción «Everything, Everywhere all At Once», lidera en las nominaciones a los Oscars con un total de 11 nominaciones. La cinta independiente Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, nos lleva a un viaje por el multiverso cuando una ama de casa china inicia un viaje por el multiverso en el que se encuentra a varias versiones del mundo y de sí misma.

Es es el segundo largometraje de los Daniels (como se hacen llamar sus directores), que también se hicieron con una nominación en la categoría de Mejor Director. Por su parte su elenco es plenamente reconocido. Michelle Yeoh hace historia al ser la primera mujer asiática en lograr una nominación en la categoría de Mejor Actriz. Por su parte Ke Huy Quan consiguió su nominación a «Mejor Actor de Reparto», mientras que Jamie Lee Curtis es nominada por primera vez a un Oscar, así como Stephanie Hsu, ambas en la categoría de «Mejor Actriz de Reparto» .

Las sorpresas

«Sin Novedad en el Frente» (All Quite on the West Front), la película alemana que retrata a la guerra fue la gran sorpresa al ser nominada, no solo a «Mejor Película Extranjera», sino también a «Mejor Película» y completar un total de 9 nominaciones. La nominación a «Mejor Actriz» de Andrea Risebourgh por «To Leslie» no se veía venir. Ana de Armas también fue nominada, a pesar de que «Blonde» es una película muy poco pasable y fuertemente criticada. La nominación de Paul Mescal en «Aftersun» como «Mejor Actor» también fue gratamente recibida. El actor es recordado por su protagonista en la ahora serie de culto «Normal People».

La ceremonia 95 de los premios de la Academia se realizarán el 12 de marzo.
